Rinderhirten Akademie
(RHA)

The Rinderhirten Akademie (RHA) is characterized, similarly to a technical college, by small class sizes and intensive supervision by the course instructors. The courses are conducted by recognized RHA trainers. The training locations are specifically selected to meet the needs of the courses and in accordance with the guidelines of the Rinderhirten RH gUG (limited liability). The Rinderhirten Akademie (RHA) places a strong emphasis on both theoretical and practical training for cattle work on horseback.
The RH training catalog is structured into different areas. Each area follows a step-by-step training approach to gradually develop the participants and their horses.
The training areas at the RHA include:
I. Introduction Course
II. Cattle Courses on Pasture
III. Ranch Roping and Ranch Working Rope Courses
IV. Terrain Training
Each participant in the "Cattle Courses on Pasture" and "Pen Work Courses" is evaluated by the course instructors based on the guidelines of the Cattle Herders RH gUG. An assessment form is used to determine how well the participant and their horse handled the tasks, and whether the course was passed. Upon passing, the participant receives a certificate.
Currently, the following trainers are recognized by the Rinderhirten Akademie (limited liability):
Tanja Hubricht, Marco Hubricht, Ditmar Caspers, Meike Heyer, and Hans Karner (ARWA – Austria).
Recognized as trainers for RH club cattle training are Markus Venmans, Uwe Pannen, Anne Menrath, and Jörg Czerwionke.
A special trainer role is held by Heike Uebelgünn, who is responsible for RH club terrain training.
The Rinderhirten Akademie (RHA) is not a riding school. Participants must be capable of riding confidently in difficult terrain and must bring their own horse to the course.
For the Rinderhirten RH gUG (limited liability), respect and care for animals, the environment, and people are of utmost importance.
